Brief tracker is live
Paste any clipping brief, log each submission per platform, and watch your approval rate and earnings memory grow across briefs. Built for the Whop clipper who runs four briefs at once and needs to know which one actually pays.
Three platform export in one click
Ship one source clip out as variants tuned for TikTok, Reels, and YouTube Shorts in a single export. Audio swap from the licensed pool is included so the original soundtrack is muted and replaced before the file leaves the browser.
Licensed audio pool
25 cleared soundtrack options curated for short form social. Mute the original, drop in a track from the pool, and export. Free for every user as the starting library.
Mobile editor polish
Sticky toggles stay where they should, the floating pill no longer overlaps mobile content, and the nav has a proper landmark for screen readers. Verified on iPhone 14 Pro across landing, pricing, how it works, features, and refunds.
Accessibility lift
WCAG fixes across the marketing routes. Skip to main content link in the nav, contrast token for body text on cream, and aria labels on the auth inputs that only had placeholders.
Performance lift
Google Fonts deferred so the first paint lands faster, and the hero poster image now preloads on the high priority lane so the LCP arrives sooner.
Per route OG images
Each marketing route now shares its own social card. Pricing, how it works, and features get tuned headlines so the preview matches the page when someone shares the link.
Forgot password flow
A working reset password page on /login/forgot. Anti enumeration check your email response so attackers cannot probe which addresses have accounts.
Smoke checks honest
The two stale smoke assertions were retired so deploys now go green on success and red on a real regression. The previous noise had trained the team to ignore the failure column.
Changelog
What we shipped.
Subedit ships every day. This page is the running record. Most recent at the top, no sugar coating, no marketing voice.
Pivoted to the Whop clipper workflow
Five steps from long video to submission. Subedit is now the workflow tool for clippers, not a caption tool with extras. The landing, the pricing, and the how it works pages were rewritten to reflect this.
Regional pricing on top of Lemon Squeezy
ParityDeals overlay wired up so visitors from India, Pakistan, and South East Asia see discounted prices on /pricing. Banner shows the local rate and the global rate side by side. Yearly billing favored because the per transaction Lemon Squeezy fee bites hardest at the cheaper monthly tier.
Find Shorts restored as step one
Long video to clip is core to the clipper workflow and never should have been hidden. Restored to the dashboard nav, the command palette, the features grid, and the how it works narrative.
YouTube ingest off the Vercel data plane
The YouTube extractor used to stream bytes through Vercel which would have run a $6K monthly bandwidth bill at scale. The route now hands the browser a worker URL and the bytes flow direct from Fly. A 7x bandwidth cost reduction before the first paying user.
Power tier waitlist
The Power tier replaces the inert Coming soon pill with an email capture so we know how many people actually want it before we ship the checkout.
Editor opens reliably
The editor used to stick on the upload dropzone because of a React hydration mismatch on the heavy tree. Now renders client only after mount which removes the mismatch class entirely.
Video bytes survive the service worker
A new service worker serves video bytes over a media URL so the cross origin isolated editor page can show thumbnails and play back without the blob URL stall.
